at all costs - хороший вариант абстрактно, но я сейчас перечитала текст - совершенно не подходит в этом месте. Лучше сказать regardless of cost. Ну а про сезон - а это из текста совсем не очевидно. Если хочется чтобы это было понятно - нужно на это как-то намекнуть. Все остальное же рассматривается по совокупности.

Я имела в виду, что я думала про 1 сезон, когда писала, но я пока ещё не настолько сбрендила, чтобы его этим грузить, так что намекать не будем. Подумала-подумала и решила, что regardless of cost действительно ближе к тому, что я изначально имела в виду, так что пусть будет так. Вот она, жизнь в языке.

Еще один вопрос - почему Richard the Third выписано текстом? Это звучит как название пьесы или фильма, а не имя короля. Если речь идет про человека - лучше писать Richard III.

Почему - не знаю, так перевела Deirdre. Если лучше - пусть будет III, хотя в первом варианте что-то есть: фильм о нём - мечта нашего адресата.

We know and love all your roles: we have watched breathlessly and in awe as Thorin, dignified and tragic, ran down the burning log towards his enemy; as dark and brooding Guy of Gisborne mourned his lost love; as the king of the factory Mr. Thornton with desperation and heart breaking longing whispered to his lady “Look back, look back at me"…. We have watched and discussed the Impressionists ad infinitum. Need we say that now we can easily name all the works of Claude Monet and talk for hours about shades and light in his magical paintings? We loved the drama of Sparkhouse and the hilarity of The Vicar of Dibley – your on-screen chemistry with the wonderful Dawn French is amazing! We shelter in our hearts John Porter - courageous, displaying glimpses of Thorin’s majesty in the most dangerous and desperate circumstances, never losing his human heart and dignity, making the right choice again and again regardless of cost. We cannot let go of Lucas – a mesmerizing, haunting character, unbroken but tragically unhappy and suffering at the hands of adversaries and scriptwriters alike, stoically wearing his black coat in the oppressive heat of Moscow summer.

And of course, we are eagerly awaiting and begging for more! You have truly a great talent, Mr. Armitage, and we do hope that with each upcoming year you will honour us with new films and new characters – always different, yet ever deep and captivating. From your interviews we know that you have a noble, considerate and charismatic heart, full of dignity and warmth. The way you behave with the press and the fans, which are falling on you like a tsunami, is a great example of delicate humour, modesty and respect for everyone around you.
