А вот еще, тоже интересно очень!
"Tolkien kept developing and elaborating on this world, so there’s just an incredible amount of things to inspire an actor in a movie like this. The first idea that I loved is that he’s the king of the Elves on the other side of the wild. That’s the one thing that differs him from Elrond. He’s wild. He’s incredibly powerful. He’s a legendary warrior inside Middle Earth and he commands a legendary army. And he chooses not to use his force when it can change the tide of a battle. He’s fought in the Last Alliance. He’s fought dragons. It’s not enough to say that he’s powerful; he’s experienced. He’s deadly. The main thing he does in The Hobbit is refuse to act. That I found very interesting. I first tried to unravel why. What is it about him that he holds the Dwarves back from their mission? I think that makes sense, because the Dwarves come walking through, trying to wake up a dragon. It makes sense to me that he stops them.”--Lee Pace on what he’s learned about Thranduil. SciFi Magazine, “Enter the Dragon,” Feb 14
