Да, полное запустение в тех краях настало относительно недавно. По эльфийским меркам, можно сказать - вчера.
И гномам никак бы не удалось смирно пройти по тропе и спокойно продолжать свой путь. Они бы умерли от голода где-то на опушке леса, мне кажется.
