Просто для уточнения. Толкин привёл две противоположные точки зрения на конфликт, но так и не сказал, был ли кто-то однозначно прав. Джексон может сделать в фильме примерно то же самое. Оставить зрителям возможность принять сторону эльфов или гномов, исходя из собственных симпатий и антипатий.
