Westchester couple Helen and Eliot have two children, lots of history, and a marriage that may be at the breaking point. Eliot is just trying to keep his family together, but may have made the mistake that tears them apart for good.
This is a play by Nicky Silver (Pterodactyls, The Food Chain, Raised in Captivity, The Lyons), beginning on a night like any other in the suburban home of Helen and Eliot. Their peace, however, is forever shattered when a young woman bursts in and makes a startling and horrible accusation. While we don’t know if her story is true, it has ramifications that span years and cities as chronicled in this hilarious and harrowing play.
This Play was doing the circuit last year source here and had the following characters with different actors except for Paula cast.
Helen - Paula Plum
Eliot - Richard Poe
Meredith/Nurse - Ari Graynor
Jennifer - Rebecca Henderson
Orson - Danny Wolohan
Tom - Lee Pace
I’m guessing the couple is played by Paula and Richard. I’m not sure whether their two children is a son and daughter but since the synopsis says a young woman bursts in, this could be one of the female leads most probably played by Ari. I assume Danny plays Orson, their son, thus leaving Lee as Tom.
I’ll update this if new information comes to light.
