Из этого текста я вычитываю, что:
- Тело исцелилось от пыток (к коим отрубание руки не относилось)
- форма времени, применяемая к правой руке ("had been") показывает, что теперь правой руки все-таки уже нет.
Вариант с регенерацией довольно оригинален, но тогда пришлось бы искать в Легендариуме аналоги. Мне навскидку не вспоминаются.
