Aragorn: These are strange tracks.

Gimli : The air is so close in here.

Legolas: This forest is old. Very old. Full of memory... and anger.
Леголас: Этот лес старый. Очень старый. Он полон памяти. И злости.
Legolas: The trees are speaking to each other.
Леголас: Деревья разговаривают друг с другом.
Aragorn: Gimli!
Арагорн: Гимли!
Gimli: Huh?
Aragorn: Lower your axe.
Арагорн: Опусти свой топор.
Gimli: Oh.
Legolas: Aragorn, nad nв ennas! (Something is out there.)
Леголас: Там что-то есть!
Aragorn: Man cenich? (What do you see?)
Арагорн: Что ты видишь?
Legolas: The White Wizard approaches.
Леголас: Приближается Белый Маг.
Aragorn: Do not let him speak. He will put a spell on us.
Арагорн: Давайте не позволим ему заговорить. Иначе он нас заколдует!
Aragorn: We must be quick.
Арагорн: Нужно спешить.
<Появляется Белый Маг>
White Wizard: You are tracking the footsteps of two young hobbits.
Маг: Вас привлекли следы двух молодых хоббитов?..

Aragorn: Where are they?
Арагорн: Где они?..
White Wizard: They passed this way the day before yesterday. They met someone they did not expect. Does that comfort you?
Маг: Они проходили тут позавчера. Они встретили тут того, кого они не ожидали встретить. Вас это устраивает?
Aragorn: Who are you? Show yourself!
Арагорн: Кто ты? Покажи себя!
<Маг оказывается Гэндальфом>
Aragorn: It cannot be. You fell.
Арагорн: Этого не может быть. Ты ведь погиб!
Gandalf: Through fire and water. From the lowest dungeon to the highest peak, I fought him, the Balrog of Morgoth.
Гэндальф: В самой глубокой бездне на одной из самых высоких вершин я сразился с ним.
Gandalf: Until at last, I threw down my enemy and smote his ruin upon the mountainside.
Гэндальф: Когда мне удалось сразить противника, и сбросить его тело с высокой скалы..
Gandalf: Darkness took me. And I strayed out of thought and time. Stars wheeled overhead and everyday was as long as a life-age of the earth. But it was not the end. I felt light in me again.
Гэндальф: Тьма охватила меня. Там, среди звезд, каждый день был подобен вечности. Но это был не конец! Я ощутил в себе жизненную силу!
Gandalf: I've been sent back until my task is done.

Aragorn: Gandalf!
Арагорн: Гендольф!
Gandalf: Gandalf? Yes... That's what they used to call me. Gandalf the Grey. That was my name.
Гэндальф: Гендольф? Да.. Так меня раньше называли. Гендольф Серый.. Это было мое имя..
Gimli: Gandalf!
Гимли: Ге-ендольф!..
Gandalf: I am Gandalf the White. And I come back to you now at the turn of the tide.
Гэндальф: Я Гендольф Белый. Но теперь я вернулся к вам.

Gandalf: One stage of the journey is over, another begins. War has come to Rohan. We must ride to Edoras with all speed.

Legolas: That is one of the Mearas, unless my eyes are cheated by some spell.

Gandalf: Shadowfax. He's the lord of all horses and he's been my friend through many dangers.
