keil, я могу сильно ошибаться, но в оригинале , кажется, "doom" - можно спорить по смыслу слова, но вроде оно ближе к "судьба" или "предопределение", чем к "проклятье". Перевод не всегда можно считать за истину в последней инстанции, увы...

Там есть и doom (рок, судьба), и curse(проклятье), и prophecy (пророчество)...
