"The host starts by telling us that Craig resides in an inner-city townhouse and then suddenly we are there....Craig! He has on a dark blue button up shirt and I think jeans (I was busy watching his face, sorry -- in short he looks great). He explains how it is basically an apartment and how he considered a villa but that those contain a lot of mold and stuff. He goes on to say that he purchased the unit while working on Shortland Street (to which the host remarks that he must've been just a baby). Craig laughs. It is a 3-level unit and the color scheme is very neutral --- think white and beige. Furnishings are sparse and there is NO clutter in this house!!! His bathroom on first floor has a sliding door sized window that the host addresses by stating, "Craig says nosey neighbors only look in ONCE...". All you see is white --- walls and one of those old-fashioned tubs. The kitchen - Craig says that it was poorly designed as NO dishwasher... He remarks that "we eat out a lot...". Didn't get impression he cooks a lot. But he stated that he liked how it was open (not closed off w/walls) so one can talk with guests and drink wine IF cooking)... The LR has hardwood floors, an oriental style rug and is beige/white... very open floorplan and higher ceilings. Only got a really QUICK glance at BR -- comforter was WHITE... No color in this place at all.. He did talk a lot about his garden which he started planting while working on Young Hercules. Said he bought more plants each time he got paid & had spare cash.. Mostly tropical and native plants that would do well in NZ... he said that he planted most of the foliage himself but that he had someone in to do the other work (said he was too lazy)... That's all I can remember for now. He looked great and was so courteous and just plain nice! OH! They also spent some time discussing his art collection. He said he just starting picking up pieces when he had extra money and that he wouldn't part with any of them (once had an offer that he described as ridiculously overpriced for one piece and he still said "NO"!). He admitted to being very sentimental... All his art was covered and aligned along the wall... very uniform!!!"
